is dedicated to providing the podiatric physician with a
high quality, easy to use and cost effective solution to
supplying their diabetic patients with therapeutic
footwear. SureFit, in 1999 launched the first turnkey
program for diabetic footwear. The program focused
on combining a full range of services from shoe fitting
to Medicare billing. Our goal was to remove the obstacles
that prevented podiatrists from successfully implementing
a footwear program, and at the same time, bringing the
care of the diabetic patient under the direction of the
podiatric physician.
To achieve this goal, SureFit has developed several proprietary
fitting and fabrication technologies. The remote fitting system,
developed by Dr. Robert Shor D.P.M., enables us to determine
the proper length and width for each patient, for a variety of shoe
styles, from measurements obtained from a simple fitting session.
This system yields excellent results with a fit rate of over 90%, the
highest in the nation. Advances in the custom molded accommo-
dative fabrication process has enabled SureFit to provide the
podiatrist with a true total contact insert at a price point that
makes it cost effective for Medicare patients.
These technologies have been integrated into a comprehensive
turnkey system that has proven to be a successful therapeutic
program in a podiatric setting. The SureFit system supports the
podiatrist through the entire process from the initial Durable
Medical Equipment supplier number application process to the
final billing of the dispensed shoes and inserts.

and enabling the podiatrist to take control of this important
element of patient care.
